over this great wine region.
Our goal is the help you expand your photographic skills and vision with
hands on experience & direct feedback.
This workshop is lead by two professional Photographers
and Teachers Tracey Landworth and Santino Zafarana. This photographic weekend
is designed for anyone interested in improving his or her digital photography.
All participants must bring a digital SLR camera, a laptop computer, and
software for organizing and presenting images.
The workshop
is limited to 10 students.
Itinerary 3 Days
Friday Oct 14th
Meet at 4:00 pm in
Atascadero, CA at the charming Historic Carlton Hotel

6:00 pm – Welcome Dinner * in Atascadero followed by a night photography
session of the Historic down town area. (Bring flash & tripod)
Saturday Oct 15th Morning
After breakfast meet at
9:00am in the Carton Hotel conference room to review the activities of the day.
We start our day in West Paso
Robles Area
Vineyards, farms, rolling
hill changing light in big vistas are your subject matter as we start out in
the morning.
1:00pm (est.) Lunch * at Mondo Cellars up on a tranquil hill
over-looking the vast Paso Robles Valley. We will have stunning views and 360 photographic
opportunities.
Afternoon
East Paso Robles Area
Late afternoon – venture off
to Pear Valley Winery for Photography of the vineyards, grounds, and a tasting tour
of the cellars by the owner, Tom.
Evening
Dinner at Shockley's * in the Carlton
Hotel. Meeting after dinner in the conference room to exchange ideas, answer technical
questions, and prepare for Sunday mornings review/crit.
Sunday
After
breakfast, 9:00 gather for a final edit and critique session, discussion and
presentation of the weekends edited images.
The workshop
ends at noon.
Workshop prices are per person; hotel and transportation are
student’s responsibility. Meals with * are included in workshop fee.
The Salton Sea December 2- 4 $675
The Salton Sea is a dramatic,
luminous photographic gem of a lake set in a desert full of rich visual
photographic opportunities. With
harsh and subtle tones of light, giving way to extreme landscape in hard
contrast to social development gone awry as subject matter.

The following is our planned itinerary; however, our schedule is
flexible to allow for spontaneous photographic opportunities.
3-Day
Itinerary
Friday We will be staying at the INDIAN WELLS RESORT, Indian Wells , 20 mins from Salton Sea. (please book hotel by 11-2 to guarantee a room). Check in by 6 or stay
at accommodations of your choice. Meeting at 6:30 for a welcome dinner* at La
Quinta Resort. We will discuss the history of the Salton Sea & our
schedule/maps for Saturday’s shoot.
After dinner we will have a nighttime photography session on the
beautiful grounds of La Quinta. Please bring your tripod & flash (if you have
one).
Saturday
Morning:
Meeting at 8:30
am at the Desert Shores beach area, Salton Sea.
(Drive time is 30
min.) Just south on route 86 from our hotel.
Lunch: At 1:00pm, location to be announcedAfternoon: continue discovering the area &
photographing
Bombay Beach,
Salvation Mountain, Geothermal Pipeline, Mud pots
Evening
Dinner & Day In-Review
Dinner at the La
Quinta Resort restaurants * (Twenty 6 or Adobe Grill)
